The Beatles are one of the most important bands in the history of music. The Liverpool quartet left us pieces that will forever be in the heart of the Beatlemaniacs. However not many fans know that many songs they played (mostly at the beginning of their career) are covers of other artists. Below we will show you a list of the best covers that John, Paul, George and Ringo performed.

Twist and Shout is a song written that was originally recorded by The Isley Brothers. The most well-known version is recorded by The Beatles, with John Lennon in lead vocals and originally released on their first album Please Please Me.

Roll Over Beethoven is a 1956 hit hit by singer Chuck Berry. It was one of the favorite songs of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, even before they chose the name of The Beatles, and it continued playing live in their tours by America of 1964.

Till There Was You is a song written by Meredith Willson for his 1957 musical The Music Man, the Beatles version, was included in the albums of With The Beatles in 1963.

Kansas City is the title of a rhythm and blues song written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller in 1952.

Anna (Go to him) is a song composed by Arthur Alexander, recorded by The Beatles and released on March 22, 1963 in the LP Please Please Me by the Parlophone label in England. The original version is sung by Arthur Alexander himself.ç

Bésame mucho is a song written in 1940 by Mexican composer Consuelo Velázquez. It quickly became one of the most popular songs of the twentieth century. The Beatles performed "Bésame mucho", along with 14 other pieces, during the famous failed audition at Decca Studios, on January 1, 1962.
