Whispers of the wind

Oh mighty force
that is not seen.
As you travel through
the land and
the sea,
tickling the tree tops
and brushing the fields,
your gentle
embracing breeze,
whispers to the soul.
Revealing ancient secrets,
to all who want to know.

But tonight,
your might
is not so gentle,
and your breeze
with holy fury
shakes the land.
Trees sway from
side to side,
while you show us
in your might
the fragility
of mankind.

And if in silence
your presence
is not felt,
and the secrets that you carry
not heard,
through a stormy night,
you will
remind us,
that you are there.
